| I am ubudog. I have been using Ubuntu for 3 and a half years now. First heard of Linux when I was using Vista. Vista was terrible, but I didn't know that there was anything else out there. Then I found Fedora. Didn't like it. Went to Ubuntu and haven't gone back. I am on the forums at least once a day and I enjoy helping as many people as possible. | == Contributions == I am a member of the North Carolina LoCo team, help people on the Ubuntu Forums, and help test new alpha releases and report bugs. |

| == My Launchpad Profile == I haven't used launchpad much, but here it is: [[https://launchpad.net/~linuxdude]] |
== My Ubuntu/Linux background == I switched to Ubuntu about 5 years ago. I was using Windows at the time and didn't know the first thing about Linux. Then, I heard about Ubuntu, an easy to use Linux distribution and I thought I would try it out. Tried a dual boot for a while, then went to only Ubuntu. Now, I like to help new users get used to the new interface and work out any problems they may have. |

| === Contributions === I am on the forums a lot, and enjoy helping people, especially people who just installed Ubuntu or people who are relatively new to Ubuntu (I have been there myself). I have also wrote a couple of programs, they are on sourceforge.net. |
== Goals and Ambitions == I hope to help my LoCo team promote Ubuntu throughout the state of North Carolina and wherever I go. I would like to become an Ubuntu Member, and be deeply involved in the Ubuntu community. |

| ==== Plans for the Future ==== I hope that I can help contribute more to Ubuntu in the future to help make it more available to all types of people, no matter what their location or disability. I hope to create programs for Ubuntu that will help them do just that. |
== Experience == I have experience programming. My biggest project is called UbuMonkey. It is a web browser aimed at the end user of Ubuntu. The development team is made up of me and one other person. These are all my projects on sourceforge.net: http://ubumonkey.sourceforge.net http://guessie.sourceforge.net I have experience packaging programs into different formats, like .debs. I also have experience setting up and managing Linux servers in the cloud. My website, as mentioned above, is powered by Ubuntu 10.10 and Amazon EC2. |
