The contents sections are worked out automatically from the headings tags (=). ||<>|| ## This is a quick table summarizing your online presence. Its a place for quick links to places mentioned on this wiki ##page. ##Table structure ##This table has 8 rows hence <|8> || Name || mysteriousdarren || || Location || Montana || || Ubuntu Forums Profile || mysteriousdarren || || Launchpad Profile || mysteriousdarren || || IRC || mysteriousdarren || || Current Ubuntu Version || Lubuntu 11.10 || || Currently testing || Lubuntu 12.04, Kubuntu 12.04 and Xubuntu 12.04 || == About Me == ## This section is where you should talk about your screen name and how you came to use it. It doesn't need to be an ##essay, one or two lines would be fine. You should also list how you first came across Ubuntu. For example: I came across my screenname as a childhood friend always called me Darren ever since I was little. He started adding the mysterious part because I was very quiet and liked to keep to myself to think. I've been using Ubuntu since I was given a CD with 7.10. I used straight Ubuntu with a few modifications till Lubuntu came into existence. I have proudly used it ever since. === Socially === ## You are a person, tell people what you do for fun. Not everything on your wiki has to be about computers or Ubuntu. I have very little time other then attending classes, working full-time and being a member of several clubs. I also practice Karate and train for distance races. === Professionally === ## This section is the place to talk about what you do for a living or if you are a student talk a little about your ##course. You could also say what job you would eventually like to have. Currently I am a manager for a catering and restaurant company. I oversee students and deal with everything that comes with them. It is very stressful sometimes, but also very rewarding. == Ubuntu Participation == ## This section is very important. It is the place where you group all you list all your contributions to Ubuntu and its ##Community. Helping people by giving advice about a problem in IRC, and by helping through Ubuntuforums. I also have several Linux users in the community that I help regularly. === Ubuntu Forums === ## This sub section is an overview of your forum contributions. It should have a link to your profile as well as a ##description of which sub forums you tend to post in. This overview should also include information such as approx number ##of posts and join date. At the moment, I tend to post rather erratically on the forums, but try to help out in the Absolute Beginners board whenever I think I have something useful to contribute. I've been on the forums since 2008. === Internet Relay Chat === ## Do you use IRC regulerly? If so, post your registered nickname and the channels you are often present in. For example: My registered IRC nickname is mysteriousdarren. I am looking forward to getting to know the Ubuntu community members better through this medium. I am usually present in the following channels: {*} #kubuntu {*} #kubuntu-offtopic {*} ##linux {*} #lubuntu {*} #lubuntu-offtopic {*} #ubuntu {*} #ubuntu-beginners {*} #ubuntuforums {*} #ubuntu-montana {*} #ubuntu-offtopic {*} #ubuntu-youth {*} #xubuntu {*} #xubuntu-offtopic == Linux User Group (LUG) == ## Are you a member of any Linux User Groups? If you are let people know, not everything on your wiki has to be centered ##around Ubuntu. Anything to do with open source is also good thing to tell people about. For example: I do not attend any LUG's currently, the current ones that I know of are a great distance away. I have a small group of friends that get together instead. == Goals For The Future == ## This should be a list of a few things that you would like to achieve in the near and far future. It can also be things ##that you would like to sustain. ## List items should be in the format demonstrated below. 1. Continue to help beginners by posting in Ubuntuforums 2. Continue to assist on IRC. 3. Help further the use of Ubuntu and Linux. 4. Eventual Ubuntu Membership. == Testimonials == ## If you decide to apply for Ubuntu Membership it is advised that you have some testimonials written by other people. ##You should leave this section empty. ---- CategoryHomepage
