Hello my name is Alexander, and I'm an Ubuntu user. I started using Ubuntu sometime in the middle of 2008 and Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) was my first version of Ubuntu I ever installed. Before that I had mostly used Windows, but had some Linux experience from experimenting with various distributions (dual booting). It was clear to me that Ubuntu covered all my needs and that it was a distribution that suited me, since then I've been Windows free. But I've always loved Linux and the philosophy and freedom that comes with it. I started using Ubuntu sometime in the middle of 2008 and Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) was my first version of Ubuntu that I ever installed. Ubuntu really grew on me, and I've stuck with it ever since. I believe Ubuntu has great potential on desktop computers, not only because of the Linux philosophy but also because of the great community that comes with it. I've decided to contribute to the growth, and I'm currently working with Lubuntu, where I'm part of the artwork team.

Lubuntu 12.04 is the first version of Lubuntu where my contributions can be seen in the finished product. I've been working close with Rafael Laguna, the other half of the artwork team and the artwork team leader. We've brainstormed, had long discussions and taken decisions together on how we can improve Lubuntu esthetically.

Launchpad
I've been a member on Launchpad for quite a while, but I haven't been very active.
As of recent I've become a contributor of Swedish and Bulgarian translations, but have not been granted membership in the Swedish Translator Team due to a "less chefs, better soup" policy that they use, which I respect and agree on.
