Ubuntu Wishlist

  • Good server support for multiple directory servers.
  • Client support for AD.
  • AD replacement when Samba 4 is ready.
  • ISV's supporting Ubuntu by default.
  • ...

What I am working on

  • Server bug triage, especially openssh and openldap.
  • New pam configurations for server class machines.
  • AppArmour profile for slapd.

  • Identify necessary components/configurations necessary to to join and authenticate to a w2k3 domain.
  • Modify identified packages to configure correctly.
  • Improving LDAP authentication client installation and configuration https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LDAPAuthentication

  • Building the Ubuntu server community.

What I have done

  • Created new php5-imap source package and uploaded to sponsor.
  • Created new php5-mcrypt source package and uploaded to sponsor.
  • Created debdiff to fix minor bug in heimdal-kdc and uploaded to sponsor.
  • Created ldap-auth-client meta package that will install all packages necessary for LDAP authentication.
