Xubuntu Hardy Design

For the Long Term Support cycle starting with Hardy Heron we are planning a complete re-design of the theming and artwork.

Possible issues to tackle:

  • New wallpaper --blue (already a work in progress)
  • New gdm --multicolor to break up the monotony of a single color; blue-green? blue-orange? blue-purple?(already a work in progress)
  • Usplash --wait till the guidelines will be finalized.
  • Choosing a new gtk theme (perhaps some dark theme? ubuntu is planning a black gtk default theme.) Ideas are welcome.
  • Choosing a new icon theme. Ideas are welcome.
