Process
Please follow the instructions below in order to officially become an Ubuntu Youth member!
Read the introduction on the UbuntuYouth homepage and the other pages included in the header section, this will help you to get a grasp of what the group is about and (more importantly) whether it is right for you!
Subscribe to the mailing list, this will keep you up to date with the groups activity and meetings.
Come down to the IRC channel, here you will receive more information about what you need to do in order to be accepted as a member. InternetRelayChat channel #ubuntu-youth on Freenode, there are usually active members in there. It's the best way to introduce yourself and get more detailed information about how to become an Ubuntu Youth member. (It also allows us to help you set up things such as your Launchpad and Wiki pages.)
Requirements
The following requirements must be met in order to become a member of the Ubuntu Youth team. Your mentor will help you complete each of these items.
Sign the Ubuntu Code of Conduct.
Have an account on Launchpad. (For help in creating one, see your mentor or direct your questions to the IRC channel.)
Have a wiki page describing yourself and your contributions. (For help on creating an Ubuntu wiki page ask your mentor or direct your questions to the IRC channel.)
After you have being paired with a mentor and have successfully set up your Launchpad and Wiki pages you will then be required to attend the next meeting. (As all members do.) You will be welcomed into the team if your pages are correctly setup. You then will be briefed by a team leader about attending meetings and staying active within the channel.
