Women in Ubuntu
From the start, very few women have been involved in and Ubuntu. Currently, there's already a group in Debian working on recruiting and encouraging women in open source and development. As Ubuntu has a close relationship to Debian, it will probably be useful to try to join in there and be a cooperative resource, rather than establish a separate and independent Ubuntu Women group.
Ubuntu has a philosophy to be inclusive of everyone, and that also counts for women as a minority group of open source communities. It should be a goal to include women as an equal part in the development of Ubuntu.
