Iain Lane reports that Ubuntu 19.10 is now end of life, and no upgraded packages will be accepted for it any longer. We are reminded it was released 9 months ago, and provided is a link to help us upgrade our systems to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS if needed.

Michael Hudson Doyle announces the removal of the "popularity-contest" package from the Ubuntu standard seed. We are also told the package and backend have been broken since Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
