Mythbuntu: So Long and Thanks for All the Fish

Thomas Mashos informs us that Mythbuntu as a separate distribution will cease to exist after specific Mythbuntu packages have been pulled from the repositories unless someone steps up to take them over. He explains the reasons why this is happening, gives special thanks to and names those that have helped, and explains how both new and existing users will be affected. Paul White recounts work he has focused on over the past week on several laptops he had running various flavors of Ubuntu. At the end of his testing journey, he concludes: “Old hardware seems to work fine with the right flavour of Ubuntu until you push it to its limits but it's nice to know that if one Ubuntu flavour doesn't work for you then you can always try another.”
