Bringing Ubuntu App Dev Schools to YOUR LoCo

Daniel Holbach writes about Ubuntu App Dev Schools where participants can receive training on how to develop applications for Ubuntu. To reach this goal, over the next few weeks they will be developing materials that they hope LoCos will be able to use for upcoming events and they need volunteers to make this happen.

OpenStack's top operating system: Ubuntu Linux

Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols of ZDNet reflects upon the results from the recent OpenStack User Survey and a blog post from Mark Shuttlework where he finds that Ubuntu is the most popular OpenStack operating system. Steven digs into some of the reasons for this and concludes by remarking upon the ecosystem saying, “Red Hat also wants to be OpenStack commercial users' operating system of choice. SUSE is also building its cloud plans around OpenStack.”
