There is on-going discussion about an Ubuntu derivative for audio-based work at [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Mubuntu Mubuntu]. Perhaps we should get rid of this skeleton spec, for now, until that discussion pans out? Any reservations?

Summary

Ubuntu Studio would be a meta package and configuration setup to enable users to install a complete music suite by issuing one command.

Rationale

Currently creating a sounds studio in dapper is a several step process, it would be advantageous to turn this into a one step process.

Use cases

Jimmy wants to use Ubuntu to record music digitally, but is daunted or unaware of all the packages available. He reads that Ubuntu Studio will install and configure almost everything that he would need.
