Introduction

This Team works on making the Ubuntu Media Center dream come true.

The main tasks of this Team are:

  • federate all Ubuntu forces interested in the subject and create a Development Community,
  • sum up the state of the (media center) art,

  • specify the functions and look & feel of the Ubuntu Media Center,

  • choose an upstream project to base developments upon and work closely with the developers,
  • create the needed ressources and content (graphical and textual) and plugins,
  • package everything needed for an Ubuntu Media Center,
  • create a specific distribution for UMC installation.

The Ubuntu Media Center will be both suited for desktop usage, but also for dedicated appliance.
