Update
20/05/2006 We are starting to work on the magazine again.We hope to release our first issue in the month of June. Digitalmouse is setting a test server for the magazine.Here is the latest on the format of the magazine.
#1. A .pdf format
- Some people can't get their Internet working on ubuntu
- Some people might want to print it out.
- We will still have a website with some stuff from the magazine.
#2. An issue every two months. A special issue for every release.
#3. Editor's note
#4. Meet the .....
- 1st issue - Dapper Drake
- 2nd issue - Ubuntu (specific of gnome ubuntu)
- 3rd issue - Kubuntu
- 4th issue - Edubuntu
- 5th issue - ( I am not sure about this) Meet the Edgy Eft
- 6th issue - Xubutu
- and so forth
#5. The community speaks
- Letters and comments from the ubuntu community.
#6. Ubuntu application
- Here is where we can show off ubuntu. Pick a program or feature that makes ubuntu special.
- I mainly use kubuntu so I know about things like adept, kubuntu, guidance, or some of the third party projects like easy ubuntu, Automatix, Ubuntu Center,...
#7. Office application
- Home and business office application. Hopefully we can get some case studies or testimonials of people using this at home or their business.
#8. Multimedia/Graphics/ Art application
- Not just a review of multimedia applications, but maybe how to on setting things up.
- How to burn CD's, How to touch up your pictures, etc...
#9. Hobbies/Games
- Games review, how to set up games

- Something for developers

Plan Go to the art and general part of the forum and make a request and a poll on layout, artwork, logo. I have gotten some feedback on some people interested on doing this. Put this on the Wiki and have people pick a task A call for articles on the forums and mailing list Hopefully pick articles and clean them up Final Layout
Hopefully some people would be willing to pick a section of the magazine and take care of it.
19/10/2005 - We have decided to start with the E-zine while waiting for the reply from the publisher. Ubuntu Magazine is now a project under Ubuntu Marketing.
14/8/2005 - We are still waiting for Linux Magazine Publisher to email us. We are still designing our website.
7/8/2005 - UbuntuMagazine.com is now online! Thanks to Daejuan Jacobs for hosting the website. The site is now under construction! Please tell me if you're interested to get involved with designing the website. Thanks!
