This is an ordered list: lower numbers in the list have a higher priority.

 1. Templates included only on the Live-CD (bootloader , installer) > 1000
 1. Ubuntu-specific templates 900 - 999
 1. Templates changed in Ubuntu 800 - 899
 1. Templates with a high user visiblity (like firefox, nautilus, empathy, dolphin) 700 - 799
 1. Ubuntu-docs Kbuntu-docs Xbuntu-docs Edubuntu-docs .. other docs 600 - 699
 1. All other library templates 500 -599
 1. All other GUI templates 400 - 499
