Цели

Основните цели, към които трябва да се насочим са трите графични среди, които се използват, а те са GNOME, KDE и XfCE. Напредък на превода на графичните среди към 24.03.2010г.:

  • GNOME – 100% - има достатъчно голям екип, който да поддържа превода актуален
  • KDE – 47% - има много повече низове от GNOME, което затруднява актуализирането
  • XfCE – 25% - много по-малко известна и с неизвестен брой преводачи. На 24.03.2010г. е направена заявка за създаване на български екип за превод.

Къде да превеждаме?

В никакъв случай в Launchpad. Има официално изявление от Launchpad да не превеждаме там. Причините за това са, че не синхронизират достатъчно често техните езикови файлове с тези от първоизточниците. По този начин се губи актуалността на работата на преводачите.

Трябва да превеждаме в системите разработени от разработчиците на самите графични среди. Така преводът винаги ще е актуален и по този начин ще го получават всички дистрибуции, а не само Убунту.
