Summary

Testing the basic functionality of a Live CD.

Procedure

1. Boot into the first boot screen
2. Select Check CD for defects
   • Wait for self-test to complete; reboot
3. Optional: Choose a language from the F3 menu or an accessibility setting from the F5 menu
4. Select 'Start or install Ubuntu'
5. Verify that the system has started at the correct resolution with the settings you specified at boot
6. Desktop flavour specific section:

   • Follow the instructions at ["../UbuntuDesktop"], ["../KubuntuDesktop"], ["../EdbuntuDesktop"], ["../XubuntuDesktop"] as appropriate

7. Test the migration assistant feature if you have an existing OS installed. See ["../MigrationAssistant"] for instructions (currently only on Ubuntu)

8. Random testing: take 5 minutes to perform some less common testing (see [:Testing/Cases/RandomDesktop:Random Testing Ideas]).
