- Activities
- Installing Feisty on everything we can find
- Watch a DVD (Revolution OS) on a big screen
Ubuntu Trivia perhaps? I'm not sure what a good prize would be. --RashundaTramble
- Infrastructure
- 48port gigabit switch for the wired part of the LAN and possibly a local mirror server? - provided someone brings one! -- ["Netztier"]
- a box full of Cat5 cables, 5-7m maximum. Bring your own if you have a longer one. -- ["Netztier"]
- a 802.11a/b/g WLAN Access Point to extend the LAN into the air -- ["Netztier"]
- WLAN AP in Client/Bridge mode to uplink to some (public) WLAN -- ["Netztier"]
- needed: a handful of power socket multipliers/power bars (aka "Steckdosen-Leisten")
- nice to have: blackboard/whiteboard/flipchart if not provided by the facility we'll be using
- Yes, we will come to the party!
- ["Netztier"]
- ["Emonkey"]
- ["Bartux"]
Comments:
We could try to get in touch with [http://www.thealternative.ch TheAlternative]; they organized Install Parties at the ETHZ and we could benefit from their infrastructure, if we want to organize something in Zurich. --Calimarno
- If we do it in Zurich the dock18 maybe would be a good place. --["Emonkey"]
