About Me

I'm a 30 year old father of three living in the United States, in the Great State of Ohio. I am not in a technical field in my profession, but using computers has become a hobby of mine. I build and repair computers for friends and associates. I have been using Ubuntu since Hoary (may 2005), and never looked back. Ubuntu was my first experience with Linux, and I am thankful it was shown to me. Helping fix Bug #1 has been a priority of mine since my first install.

In November 2006, I founded the OhioTeam LoCo team. The team has grown quickly and now has over 50 members! As a team we have some BIG plans to spread Ubuntu across the Great State of Ohio!

Support

• I am the Ubuntu ForumCouncil Secretary.

  I am on the ScribesTeam, and help to maintain meeting logs on the wiki.

  I offer free computer repairs to people who are willing to try Ubuntu!

• I founded, and lead the OhioTeam LoCo, which has grown to over 60 members.

  Focused on doing what it takes to become an Approved LoCo team.

  Set up several Sub-Teams to focus on various aspects of the LoCo project

United States of Ubuntu

  Assisted the KentuckyTeam set up the initial resources for their new LoCo team. We Wish them well!

Advocacy

• I have worked with my local Libraries to carry copies of Ubuntu. I have also given my information as a contact for questions and/or face to face support.

  I always carry a few Ubuntu CD's around with me to convert the willing. ( I have given over 100 CD's to friends and associates )

My Future with Ubuntu

• Become an Ubuntu Member.

  Continuing to work with the LoCo team to ensure our success as a team.

  Work with the USTeams project to see LoCo teams in every state by 2008.

  Work with the LoCo community to continue to improve the project.

  Develop relationships with other LoCo team contacts to coordinate activities and campaigns.

  Develop a working face to face support network within the OhioTeam.

  Continuing to help on Ubuntu Forums as much as possible.

  I will continue to volunteer for jobs or assignments as needed.
