...I'm an 46 yr older young guy, that enjoys goofing around. BR
I had a knack for straightning out my friends broke microshaft pc ;) -tho- with no schoolin` under my belt or paper hanging on my wall.BR
I'm only now- heading into a tech school and look for the hopes of getting cert`fied in linux, and somehow ~ someway...chiping in...with FOSS & The Ubuntu community.
I enjoy brakin & trying to fix my Ubuntu box!BR
It's one of the kewlest learnin` experiances i've had in years!! I realize there's TON'S of stuff to learn & know, that just comes easy~ with good support from most everyone!!
{OK} BR
I kinda had a knack for straightening out my friends broke microsh$ft pc's ;) -tho- with no schoolin` under my belt or paper hanging on my wall, I felt to go get some of that.
I felt it more, soon after getting introduced to Linux, by way of Debian, then Ubuntu!BR
So, I'm in a tech school, "Mitchell Technical Institute", seeing the end of my 2yr course, of "Computer Systems Technology", and look toward getting cert`fied in "Ubuntu/Linux", and somehow ~ someway...chipping in...with FOSS & The Ubuntu community.BR
I'm pretty much "blown away", by everyone's vast knowledge, in this and many other areas, so I'm feeling kinda small and looking for a place to fit in & do something to help out and/or just pitch in and have some laughs!!

I have enjoyed brakin` crashin` & trying to fix my Ubuntu box! Practice & re-doing, is how I learn it! I'm glad to notice that happens less, as the months go by ~ Thanks To All here & at the forums!!!BR

Things I've done...or want to do...
 * I joined and left The Marketing Team.
I wanted flyers & such ~ for myself & others asking for Ubuntu info, so that was the place to find info and such...but that was about all I could do. The Team was/is doing good things for Ubuntu - that I have no clue ~ how to do, so not chipping in - I left it to the pro's!

 * I also joined and left the Laptop Testing Team -- but still actively contribute and post my test results for my Gateway M285 E. The mailing list loaded up my mailbox to much for me...so leaving fixed that.BR

 * Quietly -- I'm also in the New User NetworkBR
More quietly at the Ubuntu ClassroomBR
And when I can ~ cruize over to...TrainingBR

 * I've also Signed The Ubuntu Code of Conduct June 06, which moved me, from 'dude' ~ to ~ "Ubuntero". I don't usually sign papers right off -but- it's all good, so i done did it!BR

Currently, I'm surfin` around ~ trying to get up to speed, on things. There's ALLOT, of material to read & look at, & absorb! Then there's more to find after that! Ha. ;)

Other things...
I'm trying to get a handle on python, C++, & understand W3C, & for now, just read some fun things about Ruby.
I've made web pages years ago, and really need & want to ~ 'upgrade' my knowledge, to todays, codes, scripts & tools. Helping that along, I've joined in with a friend to create/run a few sites/forums for fun and business.
