A next generation IRC bot; It's capable to sending simple messages over IRC as spoken word to a client's computer and visa versa.

Inferno's an Python IRC bot that interacts with a local daemon to provide a seamless means of synthesizing messages sent in IRC into spoken word. Currently, Inferno relies on the MARY TTS engine to render text into emotional speech. It's a quiet bot that only speaks when you choose to. Its primary goal is to assist those who have complications in IRC with reading or writing to use IRC in a different means.

We are here to make the work of Speech Control branch over to IRC, to make it easier to make the impossible possible.

Project Mission

We are here to make the work of Speech Control come over to the IRC world, providing a bot to interpret IRC data, and push it to the client to turn it into speech and reversing for parsing text from the user, making IRC much easier to use. If you want to help Speech Control and/or Wintermute, then goto their pages and get started too, We always need help there, too!

Our IRC Channel, #ubuntu-speechcontrol-inferno is welcome for anyone. Come along and chat to us... we will love to have you!
