Current Issues

Brightness cannot be changed, either with the Fn keys or in (gconf-editor - I don't know about gconf-editor I could not find it on my system which is kubuntu)

Bug 135062 - Noted below about cursor moving while typing to be repositioned next mouse. Intrepid Ibex 8.10 - Found that the touch pad is now working. Cursor has not moved over the past 30 mins of typing.

Bug 135088 - Hibernate shuts down okay, but on restart presents the GRUB menu. After choosing kubuntu the system is very slow in starting. Eventually it just shuts off. Even using the recovery mode.

Bug 133199 - kMix doesn't suspend sound in speakers when headphones are plugged in. Volume on keys display on the screen but does not adjust the actual volume plus limited on movement. Mute works if Master Channel set to FRONT, but does not work if Master Channel set to PCM.

Notes

Bug 135062 - Cursor moves while typing in any window. The cursor will move to where the mouse pointer is resting. For example, I place the mouse pointer here < it just did it now> and now I keep typing and it will at a point be moved to that spot. Without any warning. While performing this test (note the rest of this sentence should have been "it just did it now" which is in the <> ).

-Nothing with power management seems to work.  I haven't done ''extensive'' testing, I have just been using it for a while.  3D acceleration worked in Breezy, but I haven't gotten around to fixing it in Edgy yet.

Feisty tested in 64-bit version. To make suspend work you have to use uswsusp (s2ram and s2disk). 3D acceleration works with ATI binary drivers. Volume control keys are recognized, but Master and Headphones channels are swapped in ALSA, as a workaround you can set (in kmix in KDE) Headphones channel to be master. Brightness control keys work out of the box. You can also dim monitor in software way: sudo su; echo NUMBER > /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness - NUMBER is between 1 and 8.
