About Me

I am a 21 year old living at Gurgaon, India. I'm doing my bachelors in Computer Science Engineering from Jaypee University, India. I am a *nux system administrator, part time web designer and a vocalist. Among other hobbies, I brag about painting and playing the Sitar.
I have been using Linux since 2000 and Ubuntu since Warty (actually since Hoary, as 'twas in a VM earlier). Most of the time, I work with the Ubuntu qa-team, and the KDE team. I volunteer as a KDE Forum developer, designer and super moderator, a KDE Brainstorm team leader and as a KDE Discover project coordinator.

My Work with Ubuntu

  • I am an Ubuntu Member since early 2008.

  • I am one of the administrators of Ubuntu Brainstorm and QA-website. Members of the Brainstorm administration are responsible for managing brainstorm to all levels and approving applications to the moderator/reviewer team.

  • I'm one of the team leaders of the Ubuntu Brainstorm Moderator team. The moderator and reviewer teams are an amazing group of individuals who devote their valuable time in keeping Brainstorm well organized. They are responsible for enforcing the Ubuntu Code of Conduct, they keep a watch upon idea submissions and their abidance with posting guidelines and much more.

  • I maintain the BrainstormModerators wiki, administrate the moderator team mailing list and participate as an IRC channel operator at #ubuntu-brainstorm (freenode)

  • Member of Ubuntu QA Team.

  • I'm one of the editors of the Ubuntu Fridge, a member of News Team and UWN. I am responsible for writing the Brainstorm top 5 weekly digest for UWN.

  • Contributing developer for Ideatorrent project (Ubuntu Brainstorm engine), QA Website and UbuntuWanted website. IdeaTorrent is a continually developing idea portal which is now used by institutions like sourceforge.net, GMX, etc. (www.ideatorrent.org)

  • Member of Ubuntu Documentation project.

  • Hindi translator and member of ubuntu-l10n-hi. I've contributed towards translating firefox, ideatorrent and a few more projects to Hindi.

  • Forum staff and member of the Ubuntu Indian LoCo team

  • Founder and team leader for the Delhi local community. Our local community is working towards developing customized LiveCDs that match the needs of the users residing in Delhi.

  • User support and answer tracking on Ubuntu Forums and Launchpad respectively.
  • Participated in my university's FOSS drive 2009 and advocated Ubuntu and it's derivatives for desktop and server.

.. and a bunch of other things you can find at my Launchpad Profile.
