The notification that a proprietary hardware driver is available.... alerts you to the fact that there is an "ATI/AMD video hardware driver" available.
- Upon applying that driver, the video becomes scrambled and unreadable... one area at a time.

Tester's comment: Severe problem on Dell Latitude X300 in relation to the intel video driver - using xforcevesa at boot does apparently fix it but it was NOT needed in Beta1, so this was introduced between Beta1 and 20100419.1 !!!
The bug seems to be same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/477256
- The Live ISO boots OK on a separate desktop, but on that one the FakeRAID 1 is not recognized !!!
