I'm a consultant who works with Linux and related technologies. If you ask me, the year of Linux on the desktop was 1998. That was when i switched and i haven't used Windows or Mac as my main desktop/laptop since. Every year that goes by that i have a secure, reliable, well-performing desktop (which i didn't have to pay a cent for) is just gravy as far as i'm concerned.

I live in Brisbane's South-East, and i'm happy to be contacted about Ubuntu community stuff (although i can't always guarantee that i'll be available to help). You can email me at paul at libertysys dot com dot au or fill in the feedback form on my web site.
