I am Jonathan Patrick Davies aKa jpatrick. I'm just some 15 year old British guy from London that's currently living in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girona Girona], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalonia Catalonia], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spain Spain]. I've been using Linux since around Kubuntu's first release.

I know a bit of programming in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cpp C++] (tiny bit of Qt/KDE programming) and my other favourite language is [http://www.python.org Python].

I am an "elite" Kubuntu developer and a ["MOTU"] (focused on [:MOTU/Teams/Kubuntu:KDE] matters).

Dapper Drake

• [http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/utils/kmymoney2 kmymoney2] - ([http://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/dapper-changes/2006-January/004012.html dapper-changes]) - finance manager for KDE.

• YaKuake - I repackaged this and hacked the source code to fix [https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/yakuake/+bug/3209 Malone #3209].

• smb4k - ([https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/dapper-changes/2006-January/004919.html dapper-changes]) - A Samba (SMB) share advanced browser for KDE.

• [http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=1281 kcontrol-kdmtheme] - (dapper-changes) - a theme manager for KDM.

• [http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=1013 styleclock] - (["REVU"]) - themeable replacement for KDE's clock applet.

i18n/l10n

I do many [https://launchpad.net/people/jpatrick/+translations translations and suggestions at Rosetta] (which has earned me many [https://launchpad.net/people/jpatrick/+karma karma points] ), waiting for the KDE appilcations to start rolling in, and am part of the official [https://launchpad.net/people/ubuntu-l10n-en-gb/ Ubuntu English (United Kingdom) Translators team]

As my language skills improve I'll start work on translating things into [https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+lang/ca Catalan] and [https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+lang/es Spanish].

Bug tracking

I hang around Launchpad and Bugzilla and go though the bugs [https://launchpad.net/people/kubuntu-team/+assignedbugs assigned to Kubuntu] marking duplicates and fixed bugs.

Support

Member of the [https://launchpad.net/people/unp New User Network] - I give help to users on IRC (#kubuntu, #kubuntu-es (Am an operator on both channels)) and on the [http://kubuntuforums.net Kubuntu Forums], where I'm in the moderator team.
