I am Jonathan Patrick Davies. Currently living in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girona Girona], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spain Spain]. Been using Linux since around Kubuntu's first release.

I know a bit of programming in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cpp C++] (tiny bit of Qt/KDE programming) and my other favourite language is [http://www.python.org Python].

Most of my work is Kubuntu-related.

Dapper Drake

• [http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/kde/ksplash-engine-moodin ksplash-engine-moodin] - Fading KDE splash screen engine - first package I properly made. It's in the Kubuntu Seeds (shipping with the next release) and here's it's [http://wiki.kubuntu.org/MainInclusionReportKSplashMoodin MainInclusionReport] I wrote on it.

• [http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/x11/kxdocker kxdocker] - innovative docker for KDE that is like Mac OSX Docker. - Merged with Debian which is in ["MOTUToMerge"].

• [http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=1280 lmms] - (["REVU"]) - Linux Multimedia Studio

• [http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=1281 kcontrol-kdmtheme] - (["REVU"]) - a theme manager for KDM.

• [http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=1013 styleclock] - (["REVU"]) - themeable replacement for KDE's clock applet.

• [http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=1366 kmymoney2] - (["REVU"]) - personal money manager for KDE.

I hope to do many more in the near future.

i18n/l10n

I do many [https://launchpad.net/people/jpatrick/+translations translations and suggestions at Rosetta] (which has earned me many [https://launchpad.net/people/jpatrick/+karma karma points] ), waiting for the KDE appilcations to start rolling in, and am part of the official [https://launchpad.net/people/ubuntu-l10n-en-gb/ Ubuntu English (United Kingdom) Translators team]

As my language skills improve I'll start work on translating things into [https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+lang/ca Catalan] and [https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+lang/es Spanish].

Bug tracking

I hang around Launchpad and Bugzilla and go though the bugs [https://launchpad.net/people/kubuntu-team/+assignedbugs assigned to Kubuntu] marking duplicates and fixed bugs.

Support

Member of the [https://launchpad.net/people/unp New User Network] - I give help to users on IRC (#kubuntu) (#kubuntu-es (Am an operator there)) and on the [http://kubuntuforums.net Kubuntu Forums], where I'm in the moderator team. ([http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=35 Forum profile]) and I sometimes write emails to the kubuntu-users list.

I've been added a few things to the KubuntuPackagingGuide page.

I'm currently a co-admin of the [http://wwww.kubuntu-es.org kubuntu-es.org] website - the Spanish portal for Kubuntu

Future

I hope to be able to become a member so I can became a MOTU someday as I improve on my packaging.
