US Ohio LoCo Team
Our LoCo team was founded in November 2006. It has been surprising to see the response we have received, and we continue to gain new members. We have grown to over 50 members in a few short months.
Our main purpose is to find a solution to Bug #1. We are confident with the quality of team members we have, this will greatly impact the Use of Ubuntu and Open Source software in the state of Ohio

Roadmap
Here you should provide a list of things you plan on doing. Include links to where these are discussed online and on mailing lists.
Establish Sub Teams dedicated to specific OhioTeam tasks, including the Website, Wiki Pages, Marketing Materials, CD/DVD Distribution, Intra-Team Communication, and New User Support.
- Make contact with all Ubuntu Partners residing in Ohio, propose partnership arrangements.
- Contact Ohio LUGs and other Computer User Groups to coordinate joint events.
- Contact Local Governments, School Boards, Universities to foster adoption of Ubuntu as a safer and less costly alternative to mainstream desktop and server Operating Systems.
Form alliances with FreeGeek franchises and Computer Recycling businesses in Ohio to foster adoption of Ubuntu by underprivileged and/or frugal computer users.
- Partner with Public Libraries to help distribute Ubuntu in the efforts of eliminating bug #1
