Our Bi-Annual Ubuntu Release Event for 10.04 Lucid Lynx.

Everyone within a few hours of Waterloo is encouraged to post flyers in their comunities. Lucid Lynx Release Party Flyer
Schedule:
10 am - 2 pm
- Ubuntu Linux Install and Support. Members will be on hand to install or help with questions regarding their Ubuntu installation. There will be no new installs after 12pm to allow for any unforeseen issues to be resolved.
2 pm - 4 pm
Why Ubuntu and LTS? Landon Jurgens will explain why Ubuntu, 'Just Computes' and also cover what this Long Term Support (LTS) release means.
Discover the Lucid Lynx. A TBD speaker will cover some of the important things to get started with using Ubuntu 10.04 from web browsing and email, to playing games and music, to using productivity apps like the word processor in Open Office.
Successful Security Habits. Louis Ruppert will explain security and how to have a safe experience with Ubuntu.
4 pm - 6 pm
- Members and users will have a chance to share their experiences and ask questions while pizza and pop is served. A small donation is requested for the food and drink.
Special Note: If any decides to come in the night before, we might be able to arrange an activity for Friday night.
