MarketingTeam
Marketing Team
The Marketing Team's primary objective is to fix [http://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/1 Bug #1] by promoting Ubuntu through traditional and non-traditional marketing activities.
Scope
- Once the team reaches the point where there is general consensus on scope and focus, it should go to the Community Council for formal approval.
Introduction
The initial goals of the team are:
- Promotion/advocacy. We need to be creative about how to do this - think of the success of the "Spread Firefox" campaign, rather than the mountains of promotional material that cost lots of money to produce and ship.
- Stakeholder research - i.e. finding out what users, the FOSS community, upstream projects, the Ubuntu community, Canonical and everyone else wants from want another and the project, and how we can best deliver that.
- Developing stakeholder relationships
- Other areas of marketing that become relevant.
