I started using Ubuntu on "edgy", and, being a Ubuntu newbie, felt a compulsive urge to upgrade to the then-highly-unstable "Feisty Faun" while it was still in alpha. Then, in another act of grand stupidity, I upgraded to Gutsy 3~ months before release. I currently I co-administer a Edubuntu lab of more than 20 computers.

I also work on a python graphics API called GASP ( see http://edge.launchpad.net/gasp-code ) which I am working to package for Ubuntu (well, really watching MatthewGallagher). I'm a member of the DC Ubuntu LoCo Team and YHSLUG. In the DCLoCo team I've helped promote Ubuntu via various installfests and bug sprints, as well as other community events.
