Basic Stuff
Note: any similarity between JeffreyElkner, MatthewGallagher, MacoMorgan and my page is purely coincidental.
Name: ffm
Location: Near Washington, DC
IRC: ffm @ irc.freenode.net on #ubuntu and #olpc
Launchpad: https://launchpad.net/~ffm
Current OS's: Gutsy on dozens of machines, Hardy on ~2.
Other Stuff
I'm a high school student. I've been using Linux since 2002 , and actively involved in the Ubuntu Community since 2007.
Education
Some high school.
Ubuntu Stuff
I started using Ubuntu on "edgy", and, being a Ubuntu newbie, felt a compulsive urge to upgrade to the then-highly-unstable "Feisty Faun" while it was still in alpha. Then, in another act of grand stupidity, I upgraded to Gutsy 3~ months before release. I currently I co-administer JeffreyElkner 's lab at Yorktown ( I am an underling of MatthewGallagher ).
I also work on a python graphics API called GASP ( see http://edge.launchpad.net/gasp-code ) which I am working to package for Ubuntu (well, really watching MatthewGallagher).
Community Involvement
I'm a member of the DC Ubuntu LoCo Team and YHSLUG. I've setup Edubuntu/Ubuntu labs in the following locations in the DC metro area:
Yorktown High School, Arlington, VA - in the CS lab (http://linus.yhspatriot.net/cs).
I work in the BugSquad, as well as helping out in IRC.
PGP Key
Who knows?
Projects
Open Book Project: http://openbookproject.net - Free educational materials.
OLPC:GASP - ( apparently interwiki to there isn't set up, http://wiki.laptop.org/go/GASP )
Cool and Useful Stuff
Nothing yet.
