| We have recognized a need in the community for consolidated training that is easy to find, and can be marketed collectively by the community and teams conducting training to any users seeking training. We have also seen evidence of high attrition rates in new users both in the [[http://ubuntuforums.org/|Ubuntu Forums]] and in the #ubuntu IRC channel that we wish to rectify. Our initial goal is to provide four programs for the new user, the sysadmin, marketing, and a stream for someone who wants to contribute to Ubuntu. These idea's have been based on new user feedback, requests to the Ubuntu Forums Beginners Team, to the Classroom Team and to Physical LoCo Classrooms. Our proposed course programs can be found in the sections below. Our intention is to release all materials under a Creative Commons license (the exact terms will be decided soon), with the intention to allow case by case waivers to allow recognized educational institutions to reuse the work. This has not been finalized and any objections will be taken into consideration. If you have suggestions, please contact one of the project leaders listed below. |
