Notes

* Hoary installation fails due to being unable to load the wired NIC modules. It properly detects the wireless and asks for WEP key/ssid but this fails to pull an IP from DHCP. Tried various combinations of pci=noacpi and other config flags with on luck. Switched the wireless trigger on the front of the laptop on and off with each of the combinations with no luck. Skipping network config and restarting after install results in a lockup during hotplug start. In summation, it's loading the right wireless module, there is no driver for the wired NIC.

* Breezy: Both NIC and wireless seem to work with acpi enabled; however after a few minutes all network adapters stop wotking and the system becomes unresponsive (jumpy mouse cursor in kde). Booting with acpi=off fixes this problem, but of course disables all power management functions.

* Dapper: Both NIC and wireless work with ACPI on as of April 17, 2006. This is great news and is a recent development.
