UPDATE: I have not been able to reproduce this bug in Dapper Drake Flight 3 + 4. Though in Dapper Drake Flight 5 it reappeared all the time and I have had to disable laptop-mode completely. I discovered some odd behaviour the other day installing the Hardy Heron Release Candidate. The laptop paused for a couple of minutes at the boot screen (with the Ubuntu logo and the progress bar). The hard drive LED was on and I thought it was frozen, however, suddenly it continued. The installation went well.

Current Issues

I discovered some odd behaviour the other day installing the Hardy Heron Release Candidate. The laptop paused for a couple of minutes at the boot screen (with the Ubuntu logo and the progress bar). The hard drive LED was on and I thought it was frozen, however, suddenly it continued. The installation went well.

Visual effects no longer works by the way.

I can no longer connect to my wireless network (WPA encrypted) using the Network Manager application. However, uninstalling the Network Manager and manually setting up the network in /etc/network/interfaces solves the problem.

With a stock config I was able to get mirroring to work by just rebooting.
