Current Issues
Issues with kubuntu feisty:
- xorg-driver-ati does not support graphics chipset (X1250)
- Harddisk is very slow (some problem with Southbridge SB600)
- Sound stutters (ATI HDA)
- WLAN: bcm43xx module doesn't work (some IRQ_XFER error), ndiswrapper works but no WPA
Installation
Install from 64 bit version of (K)ubuntu Gutsy, turn off wlan while install. After reboot you have only console mode, to get x at work type next lines:
sudo -s
killall gdm (kdm)
apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx
depmod -a
aticonfig --initial
gdm (kdm) start
(reboot)
If you want to use dualboot, it need to edit grub bootlist.
