For full resolution do: sudo aptitude install xserver-xorg-video-intel
For mute speakers when audio jack inserted add: options snd-hda-intel model=laptop to: /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
If sound does not work from fresh install (in a dual-boot scenario with Windows): Restart, enter bios (F10), reset to defaults, apply changes (F10), save and exit (F10).
