The ps2 external mouse input is broken. (Could be bug #38031?)

Breezy Badger install went perfectly.
*1 Screen goes blank, but the backlight is not turned off.

==== Updates ====
Sleep and hibernation worked with Colony-5 (clean install). After apt-get update on 2005-10-01, sleep and hibernate were broken :( Still broken in Breezy RC and Final.

These regressions in Flight-6 have been fixed in Dapper Beta 2 live installer:
 * text consoles stay black after resume [[http://launchpad.net/bugs/38500|#38500]]
 * installer asks for screen resolutions
 * floppy module not loaded (not laptop specific, bug [[http://launchpad.net/bugs/32599|#32599]])
 * keyboard layout becomes wrong if chosen in boot menu F3 (not laptop specific, bug [[http://launchpad.net/bugs/31661|#31661]])
