Breezy Badger install went perfectly. *1 Screen goes blank, but the backlight is not turned off. *2 Screen goes black and is password locked. *3 Tested with D-Link DWL-122 Wireless USB adapter. *3b Tested with a D-Link DWL-G650 PCMCIA wireless card. *4 Tested with the proprietary Connexant hsfmodem drivers. *5 DMA is not enabled by default, but can safely be. *6 The user is asked during installation to choose modes, but the proposed modes will work. *7 Sleep button works, but resume crashes. *8 Works after adding synaptics section to xorg.conf

Updates

Sleep and hibernation worked with Colony-5 (clean install). After apt-get update on 2005-10-01, sleep and hibernate were broken Sad :( Still broken in Breezy RC and Final.

These regressions in Flight-6 have been fixed in Dapper Beta 2 live installer:

  • text consoles stay black after resume #38500

  • installer asks for screen resolutions

  • floppy module not loaded (not laptop specific, bug #32599)

  • keyboard layout becomes wrong if chosen in boot menu F3 (not laptop specific, bug #31661)
