CompalHEL80

Revision 10 as of 2007-10-19 21:22:13

Clear message

The HEL80 is similar to the [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/CompalHEL81 HEL81]. The main differences are the Nvidia Geforce Go 7600, the presence of a web cam and a finger printer and four extra media buttons.

Compal sells the HEL80 with two different screens a glossy WXGA+ (1280x1024) and a matte WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screen. The laptop used for testing has the latter screen.

Notes

  1. These keys are located at the top, next to the leds for Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock
  2. These keys are located on the left. They have a double meaning, but that is because rumour has it that Compal wanted to create a stand- alone media player, outside of an OS. But that idea was never realized. Hence, the Mode on/ off key has no special function.
