Current Issues

Screen & Monitor issues:
- $Warning /!\$ External monitor is not well detected: I own a Samsung SyncMaster 710MP TV/LCD. The result is that after the autoregolation I can’t view a little part of the screen. Correct resolution values are 1280x1024 60.1kHz 75Hz PP but I get 1280x1024 64.0kHz 60Hz PP [https://launchpad.net/malone/57802 #57802]
- $Warning /!\$ Very Very rarely. Image heavily disturbed (flickering) if framebuffer is enabled: kind of resolution is to switch to console CTRL-ALT-F1 and switch back to X ALT-F7 every time you have this issue. Another fix may be disable framebuffer: add vga=normal to boot options, but you will lose splash screen at boot. [https://launchpad.net/malone/24270 #24270]

Sleep/Hibernate issues:

Wireless issues:
- $Warning /!\$ ipw2200 doesn't retain the card status (radio on/radio off) after a reboot/shutdown/hibernate [https://launchpad.net/malone/37010 #37010]
- ipw2200 module can't be reloaded if the module had been unloaded with the file /sys/class/net/eth1/device/power/state set to 2 (to do this just press the wireless hotkey to deactivate the radio). The wireless module is reloaded during resume from sleep and it goes into an error, but if you tell the system to keep the module in ram (in /etc/default/acpi-support -> MODULE_WHITELIST="ipw2200") this bug will not occur [https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/42387 #42387]
- In Feisty kernel 2.6.19 ipw2200 can't be deactivated using the hotkey [https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/72990 #72990]
Additional Hardware issues:

Function and other keys issues:
- MAJOR! Don't press Fn+F8 because it freezes the system at all [https://launchpad.net/malone/36885 #36885] BR This hangup can be bypassed disabling the local APIC support in the kernel. You can do this editing /boot/grub/menu.lst: append the string nolapic at the end of kopt= and kopt_2_6= lines.
