EDGY ISSUES

  • Screen & Monitor issues:

    • (./) FIX RELEASED Usplash prevents a correct view of the console (ctrl alt F1) which is now decentred [https://launchpad.net/malone/57694 #57694]

    • Warning /!\ External monitor is not well detected: I own a Samsung SyncMaster 710MP TV/LCD. The result is that after the autoregolation I can’t view a little part of the screen. Correct resolution values are 1280x1024 60.1kHz 75Hz PP but I get 1280x1024 64.0kHz 60Hz PP [https://launchpad.net/malone/57802 #57802]

    • Warning /!\ Very Very rarely. Image heavily disturbed (flickering) if framebuffer is enabled: kind of resolution is to switch to console CTRL-ALT-F1 and switch back to X ALT-F7 every time you have this issue. Another fix may be disable framebuffer: add vga=normal to boot options, but you will lose splash screen at boot. [https://launchpad.net/malone/24270 #24270]

    • (X) No tv-out support with the ati xorg module [https://launchpad.net/malone/37764 #37764]

  • Battery issues:
    • (./) FIX RELEASED gnome-power-manager displays an uncorrect icon if you plug the AC before the computer is started, when your battery is not fully charged. You must re-plug the cable if you want to see correct values [https://launchpad.net/malone/38632 #38632]

  • Sleep/Hibernate issues:
    • (X) Sleep-only the system fails when restarting with this debug message: [numbers.numbers] Rebooting System. [https://launchpad.net/malone/29695 #29695]

    • (X) Sleep-only ipw2200 module can't be reloaded if you switched it off using the laptop hotkey, because the hotkey-handler doesn't use a method that puts the device into sleep mode. When the wireless module is reloaded it goes into an error, but if you tell to keep the module in ram (in /etc/default/acpi-support -> MODULE_WHITELIST) this bug will not occur [https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/42387 #42387]

    • (./) FIX RELEASED Both if using network-manager, ipw2200 is detected as a wired device after the resume [https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/59981 #59981]

  • Wireless issues:
  • Additional Hardware issues:
  • Function and other keys issues:
