Current Issues (with 32-bit Dapper Drake Test Flight 5)
NOTE - I'm temporarily testing the 32-bit version of Drake because dvdrip does not work in 64-bit and before I file a bug, I want to see if it's 64-bit Dapper, or Dapper period in which it does not work (it works in 32-bit Breezy)
Screen resolution should have been 1280x800 and 60hz, instead Flight4 listed it as 1280x768 and 61hz. It looked good, though, except that during startup and shutdown, I couldn't quite see all of the messages. In Dapper Flight 5 (32-bit) it gets worse - it comes up as 1024x768 even though I selected 1280x800 on install (I reinstalled to verify that it wasn't my mistake), looks bad, but not unusable
Touchpad scrolling - nothing works, and attempting to scroll down acts as if I right-clicked the mouse

BREEZY NOTES
Breezy testing was on 32-bit (standard) Breezy, for Dapper, I tested the 64-bit version (test flight 4). When Dapper is released, I will do a new install and verify these results.
The Launch keys are configurable under System->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts. Where I have said they are "configurable", that means they are undefined out-of-box, but work after you manually configure them.
Sleep/standby seems quirky, however by closing the laptop and opening it again, that seems to reset everything.
Hibernate almost works; the system comes back alive, but keyboard input is not recognized. (a bit of a showstopper, but hopefully something that is easily fixed)
This sounds like it might be related to [https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32143 #32143] -PaulSladen
I did a not-so-thorough performance test to compare the difference between Breezy 32-bit and 64-bit ubuntu/imagemagick by running imagemagick's convert utility on the same set of 85 jpg images. It took 94 seconds on 32-bit, it took 77 seconds on 64-bit (an 18% performance boost)
DAPPER NOTES
As of Dapper Flight 5, "linux vga=771" was no longer necessary : At the "boot:" prompt (via the installation CD), boot with command "linux vga=771"
