I've been running GNU/Linux as my exclusive desktop operating system for almost 10 years now, and for about half of that time I've been using Debian, now both on workstations and (excessively) on server machines ranging from infrastructural systems (e-mail, www, ftp, dns, dhcp, ...) to large-scale inhouse application servers (which unfortunately in some situations need to run proprietary client/server applications but at least they work atop a "free" operating system). I took a first look at Ubuntu quite some I took a first look at Ubuntu quite some weeks ago and currently am thinking about exclusively using it myself, as well; I like the commitments of the project in creating a powerful, non-proprietary operating system "done by humans for humans". I'll see how I can contribute to that...

I took a first look at Ubuntu quite some weeks ago and currently am thinking about exclusively using it myself, as well; I like the commitments of the project in creating a powerful, non-proprietary operating system "done by humans for humans". I'll see how I can contribute to that...
