About Me

My name is Jean Austin Rodriguez. I am a Filipino and I advocate Free Software.

I am currently working at a multi-national car manufacturing company in the Philippines where I server as a system administrator focusing on security, IT services, server virtualization and cloud computing.

I started using Ubuntu in 2008.

Contributions to the Ubuntu Community

My main focus in contributions are quality assurance, advocacy and support.

  1. bug reporting and triaging for Ubuntu Tweak, Gwibber and Pidgin
  2. communication with developers and other Bug Squad members at IRC

    • promoted Ubuntu and distributed ISOs to attendees

I plan to organize a sub-local community group for Ubuntu Team Philippines and introduce Free and Open Source Software to universities and colleges here in the city.
