Contributions
As I am not a very technical person I sometimes find it hard to contribute directly to the Ubuntu development community as a whole. I am slowly starting to work my way into being constructive within the Ubuntu-AU team to assist with local promotion of Ubuntu within Australia. I have volunteered to assist moderate the team's mailing list.
I have also organised a local, free Ship It type service to local Australian members to try and get Lucid Lynx LTS out into the population quicker for those people who do not have access to broadband connections (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-au/2010-April/006033.html).
Future Goals
I hope to maintain an active presence in the Ubuntu-AU team and one day I might get a day off work to line up with one of the Brisbane meetings.
At every chance I get in my work and social webs I promote Ubuntu to anyone who will listen to try and do my part to combat bug #1
I'm am currently working on setting up a home file/print/web/email server so this might allow me to contribute more on the technical side of things when I learn how to get all these working.
