I was born in 1978 and am currently mostly working in embedded systems programming using C/C++ and occasionally assembly language.
I have been using linux since 1999 and love it, even if I spend quite a lot of time tweaking and exploring it, but that's both instructive and fun. Kind of "L'inux pour l'inux".
But I know that others could benefit from linux in particular and free software in general, and share the opinion that OSS is the most appropriate choice for education and public institutions.
Ubuntu appealed to me from when I read the preview announced on slashdot and switched from gentoo as soon as I downloaded the iso. Converted two colleagues at the office and handed out 8 of the 10 discs I got from shipit so far.
I was born in 1978 and have been using linux since 1999 - in chronological order Red Hat, Mandrake, Gentoo, Ubuntu, each time thinking how could I bear the previous distro/OS ;)
