Shuttle

AMD Venice 3500+

On-board (Radeon X200)

Realtek ALC880 7.1 channel HD

Broadcom 1GB

v6.06 (Dapper)

Needs 'noapic acpi=off' boot parameters, which causes IRQ crowding and on the occasional boot the sound card is not detected because of a conflict with the parallel port. System doesn't power down after shutdown (bug [http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=43961 #43961]). The default X driver is the open source "radeon", in which DRI (and 3d acceleration) don't work. If powernowd is not disabled, a complete system freeze usually happens within an hour (bug [https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/46470 #46470]).

Intel Pentium 4 'Prescott' 3.0Ghz

On-board Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (865G chipset)

On-board Intel ICH5 AC'97 compatible

On-board Realtek rtl-8139

Maxtor SATA 60GB HD. Had to set SATA mode to 'enhanced' in the BIOS prior to installation. The Grub bootloader installation phase didn't succeed otherwise. Need to test power saving features more extensively. Everything else is working just fine.
