A new stable release is made every six months. If you are not sure what version of Ubuntu you want to install, try the most recent stable release. If you are interested in helping test the release and in reporting or fixing bugs in it, you might wish to install the development release. If you want to have a stable supported Ubuntu version installed see the stable release information above. Early in the release cycle, CD images of the development version will not be available.
