Clear message

A Dutchman, born and raised in the Netherlands, educated as a political & cultural geographer on the Universiteit van Amsterdam but never graduated as life took another direction.

Now engaged in a career in processmanagement, specialised in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Furthermore I am a volunteer for the Netherlands Red Cross. I am a licensed First Aider as well as coordinator for promotional activities for the Red Cross, a task aimed at recruiting new volunteers and members.

Also since the start of 2009 I am an Association Delegate for individual members at the Royal Dutch Walking Association (KNBLO-NL). This Association organises the International Long Distance Marches of Nijmegen (4 days, marching 50km a day), which I am about to walk and finish for the third time in 2009.

What does this has to do with Ubuntu? I use Ubuntu since 5.04 so basically since 2005. From somewhere in 2006 I am member of Launchpad, however never found the time and focus to contribute. Also wondering, how can I as non-techie contribute? Now I'm slowly finding my way, I would like to contribute on the translation of Ubuntu in Dutch and help to answer questions or direct and file bugs. Also my sales and marketing experience can be of help for the Ubuntu Community I guess.
