About Me
Hi folks! I'm Emilio Pozuelo, aka pochu.
I'm a civil engineering student at the [http://ucam.edu/ Saint Antonio University] at [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murcia Murcia], Spain, city where I born and live.
I used Windows for all my live, but on December 2005, my brother showed me the light.
I started with BreezyBadger, conserving w2k. But a little later, I installed DapperDrake Flight4 in another partition, and started testing Ubuntu. At once, I moved my home to Dapper, and keep testing and learning. During that period, I erased w2k from my computer, and finished my liberation from the evil.
With EdgyEft, I started from the beginning, and I've been using the development release of Ubuntu until then.
What I do
BugSquad
I spend some time in #ubuntu-bugs, triaging bugs, marking as duplicates, pointing reports to the proper packages... I specially take care of bugs in some [https://bugs.launchpad.net/~pochu/+packagebugs packages]. I've contributed with some [https://launchpad.net/~pochu/+packages uploads], and I'd like to learn more about packaging. In short, I'm a bugfighter!
UbuntuQA
I'm also an UbuntuQA member. This is for better handling the bugs, because now I can set milestones and change the importance in the Ubuntu bugs.
ISO Testing Team
The [https://launchpad.net/~isotesting IsoTestingTeam] takes care of the Ubuntu CDs and DVDs images, and of all of its flavours ones.
Spanish Translators
Before joining the BugSquad, I [https://launchpad.net/~pochu/+translations translated] a few packages into Spanish, and I became a an [https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-es Ubuntu Spanish Translators] member. However, I haven't been very active but I want to do some translations when they'll be open for Feisty.
Spanish Team
One of the first things I did when I started using Ubuntu was [http://www.ubuntu-es.org/index.php?q=user/16315 registering myself] on the [http://www.ubuntu-es.org/ Spanish Community]. Since December 2006, I contribute in the admins mailing list, to solve some of the issues we had (specially with the webpage). Now, we have solved most of them, thanks to the old admins, who have known how to step down properly. Currently I'm an Spanish Community admin.
What I would like to do
- Continue triaging bugs.
- Improve my packaging skill, as it's really poor.
- Increase my contribution in the ISO Testing Team.
Keep on with the SpanishTeam, and take it to the top level.
- Learn Python
And, of course, become an [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuMembers UbuntuMember]!
Contact Me
Feel free to contact me if you want. I promise to answer all the emails
